Robert Graeber Injury and Fundraiser
ARL member Robert Graeber was seriously injured on Sunday March 9
while snocross racing in New York state. Robert recently returned to Alaska and
is glad to be home for the support of his family and friends. Visit www.robertgraeberracing.com

Come join Robert at a silent auction fundraiser on Saturday, May 10 at the
Kincaid Chalet beginning at 4:00. The event includes a BBQ, a silent auction for
over 40 items, and a live auction. All proceeds from the event will benefit the
Graeber family.
Race for Robert
We will hold a motocross format benefit race for Robert Graeber on Sunday, May
11 at the Jodhpur MX track. Here are the
details:
- You must be a member to ride
- Sign up (including membership sign up) starts at 9:30 a.m.
- Practice begins at 11:00 a.m., and will be a longer practice session than
during the regular city series
- Races begin around 1:00, and each class will race one moto
- We will finish around 4:00, which still gives you time to get home for
Mother's Day dinner!
- Minimum donation of $15 per class entered
- All entry fees will benefit the Graeber family

Congrats to ARL!
We are thrilled to announce that the ARL was awarded an Anchorage Parks
Foundation matching grant! In conjunction with our partnership with the city for
the Area Use Agreement, we received a $20,000 matching grant for Jodhpur Park
Improvements. With the hard work of several key club members, our goal is to
provide the required 100% match with entirely in-kind (non-cash) donations. The
proposal to install lighting in the upper track parking lot was seen as value
added to the park area. We believe the receipt of this grant benefits the club
in several ways: it cements us as a long-term stakeholder for use of the area,
provides power to the area for long-term infrastructure development, and
recognizes the efforts of the club in taking responsibility for the area. Thanks
to the Rasmuson Foundation and the Anchorage Parks Foundation for making this
happen - and watch the site for updates.
Track Hours
The Jodhpur Track is open for the season. We are
pleased to announce an increase in riding hours over last year! Riding hours are
10 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. The area is closed to motorized
use on Mondays and Tuesdays. Protect everyone's ability to use the riding
area - stay off the sand dune!
National Motocross Association
NMA is allowing Alaska to be a
qualifying region again this year for a very big race that is held in Ponca City
Oklahoma July 20 to the 28th. The qualifying races will be our
state races May 24 & 25 and June 14 & 15. You have to sign up for NMA
membership and race two of the four races here in Alaska to qualify. If anyone
